Our first ending.

We want to thank everyone who came to see us at ConnectiCon this weekend.  I’ve mentioned it before, but that show is a real homecoming for us and everyone from the staff to the attendees made us feel totally at home.  We had a great turnout at our various panels and you folks showed a lot of enthusiasm for the conclusion of Issue 5.  We are very grateful, and we can’t wait to go back next year.

The end of Issue 5 and the conclusion of the first storyline is a big deal around here, at least for me and Garth.  The completion of any story is a delicate time.  The pressure to “stick the landing” is at its greatest, and readers who have kindly been following along on this journey hope the time they spent was worthwhile.  We wanted to give people a clear ending to this first storyline, so even if you decided to stop reading (which we hope you don’t) you wouldn’t have a conclusion so full of cliffhangers and unanswered questions that it felt unsatisfying.  We left just enough loose ends to hopefully make you want to come back for more, while aiming for a definite feeling of “the end.”  For now.

All storylines will be five Issues long.  “Star Power and The Ninth Worm Hole” spanned Issues 1-5.  The next story, “Star Power and The Hunt For Black Hole Bill” will span Issues 6-10.  There will be the usual two-week filler from tomorrow until next Friday.

Thank you for reading, let us know how we did on our first storyline, and we hope you enjoy what’s to come!

He spent the last ten years as the author and artist of the fantasy webcomic, "Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire." He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three cats.
