The Push To Go Ad Free.

You’re all probably sick to death of the between-Issue breaks being nothing but reminders for our Patreon campaign.  I get it.  I like doing lore entries and alien race profiles much better than in-house ads, but sometimes business is business and promotion has to happen.  Don’t worry, though!  With the coming of our tweaked update schedule in Issue 25, there won’t be prolonged breaks between Issues any more, and thus eliminating the 2-3 week marathon of Patreon reminders.

This push is a little different, though.  The push to get rid of ads on our site is something we’ve wanted to do for a while.  I’ve lamented the state of online advertising ever since Project Wonderful closed its doors earlier this year, but hosting ads on STAR POWER has been a necessary way to help us pay the bills.  But if we can hit this second Milestone… and we’re SO CLOSE already… we can replace those spaces with in-house reminders of things like our Patreon campaign, convention appearances, and book availability!  We won’t have to use the space reserved for the comic and its lore entries for self-promotion.

Much like our Kickstarter campaigns, we’re going to talk about this a lot until we hit that second Milestone goal.  And you can help.  Spread the word.  Tell your friends what we’re up to.  If there are people you know who would enjoy STAR POWER, send them our way!  Maybe they’ll like what they see and pledge their support, too!  Every little bit helps.

Comics are wonderful and creative, but sometimes business is business and promotion has to happen.

So pledge your support to our Patreon campaign today and help us go ad free!
